You install a rear seat on the luggage rack or the mounting points intended for it. Tighten the bolts evenly and firmly, and check that the seat can't tilt or shift before you let someone ride along. Pro tip: check the bolts once more after the first few rides, as vibrations can loosen them slightly.

Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.

As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.
