The controller drives your fatbike's motor and is usually tucked away in the frame or under the battery holder. Before disconnecting it, take a photo of the existing wiring, so you can then put each plug back in the right place. Always disconnect the battery first before you get started. Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.
